Freeform Creating

A Better Built Environment

Our closed loop system reduces construction times and storage requirements, eliminates site waste, and is grounded in green.
All while giving virtually unfetted design freedom for designers to create structures with unimagined texture, style, and intrigue.

Step 1 - Creation

You can provide anything from a concept sketch to fully engineered drawings, and we will take it from there. Our talented and experienced designers will interpret your ideas, and liase throughout the design process to ensure your vision is realised. But, be prepared to receive advice that could take your project to the next level, and make you rethink what is possible.

Step 2 - Implimentation

Time on site is crucial to the viability of a project. The reduction of labour hours in the installation of complex or repetitive formwork tasks using the Freeform system is dramatic. Guaranteed accuracy, simple assembly, safety oriented. With Freeform Creating unique, innovative sollutions, site efficiency can improve, while at once reducing costs.

Step 3 - Recovery

The concept of our unique closed loop ecosystem is focused on efficiency and zero waste, and is central to our philosophy. We provide a service that virtually eliminates a project's formwork waste removal costs. We retrieve, then reuse or recycle virtually all materials, creating better more efficient use of building materials most of which previously would have gone to landfill.

Deliver

Your formwork is delivered to site ready for immediate installation, eliminating storage, reducing cost.

Detail
Instruct

The contractors on site work to precise pre-delivered instructions, minimising preparation time on site.

The Detail - Concept / Design

Concept

Architects and Designers have freedom of expression. Freedom to create a wide range of building elements in shapes and finishes, previously impossible to recreate in concrete using conventional formwork. Every process does have it's limitations, and we will advise on what we consider best practice.  We also can draw on more than thirty years of experience in residential and commercial building finishes, and offer a design service to develop your ideas from scratch.

Design

We refine the concept, and develop the design into a workable model as a formwork mold. Our large format 3D printers have been chosen for capacity and quality. Large printed components are extremely light and easily managed, also able to be combined into larger designs, which are either permanently joined together before dispatch, or assembled on site. Fixing points for reinforcing and other features are designed in to provide strength, reduce supports, and ensure easy on site assembly.

The Detail - Engineer / Manufacture

Engineer

Engineering for the success of the structure is done in colaboration with construction engineers and contractors. In addition we have specialist knowledge in engineering of the formwork, incorporating material data by BASF and printing equipment manufacturers to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Manufacture

We use the highest quality European built 3D printers, which have been tuned to this purpose over several years of development, and testing in Europe. The virgin plastics we use have been formulated by BASF, and other world leading polymer suppliers, and we incorporate recycled material retrieved from our projects and also other sources.

The Detail - Deliver / Instruct

Deliver

Form ply is expensive, bulky, and often needs to be stored on site for long periods. It occupies space, is heavy, and difficult to move around the site - usually by crane to upper floors, accompanied by blocks and props. Our engineered polymer forms are not only perfectly preformed and strong, but also light. Carry up a stairwell light, and needing less bolstering and support.

Instruct

Our system is creating a paradygm shift in concrete construction methods, and we have adopted a chicken and egg philosophy with information and instruction. We don't install, but we do instruct, and with decades of major construction experience behind us we understand the importance of safety, and value of efficiency, on site. So our revolving program of planning and feedback begins right back in the design stages and continues to revolve - and evolve - up to and beyond installation, placement, stripping, and recovery.

The Detail - Recover / Recycle

Recover

No more skip bins taking up site space, piled with unusable waste form ply off-cuts that cost money both to create and destroy. All that's needed is quick clean up by the contractor after the strip out, and we make what used to be an expensive problem, disappear without a trace.

Recycle

Not only did we choose the plastics we use because of their high quality fit for purpose formulation, but also because they are recyclable. We are able to reuse almost One Hundred Percent of material recovered from site to fabricate new molds. We are happy to explain how this process works - get in touch if you want to find out more about our closed loop.
